The Coromandel Peninsula is renowned for the beauty of its mountains and coast. I stopped first in Tairua and went up Mount Paku for a spectacular view, then went on to Hahei Beach.
From Hahei Beach you can walk to Cathedral Cove, with beautiful views, caves, and rock sculptures all the way. And it was here that I was gifted with classic portraits of two enduring symbols of New Zealand: a tree fern and a sheep!
